Zoning Office cuts waiting time for processing home business licenses

Applicants of home business licenses no longer have to worry waiting for a long period of time before obtaining their actual license as the Zoning Office has made the process easier as part of its streamlining efforts.
Acting administrator Therese T. Ogumoro said yesterday that applicants of home business licenses can now get their license as long as they submit their filled out application form together with all requirements for the application.
Ogumoro said applicants can affix their signature on the application and can get their license right away.
She said they also revised the zoning inquiry form and made it “easier to read” and “straight to the point” since it gives applicants the option to just mark with a check their selection.
Ogumoro noted that these changes have been in effect since September as part of streamlining efforts prompted by what they learned from their clients, taking their concerns into consideration.
The acting administrator described the Zoning Office’s streamlining efforts is “an ongoing process.”
“We continuously see ways in which we need to streamline. We’re also looking at simple procedures to make our major site plans and conditional use applications very simple and easy to understand,” added Ogumoro.
