The Commonwealth Zoning Board has approved a company’s application for a conditional use permit to use a vacant 2,600-square-meter lot in Afetnas for horseback riding.

In an interview after the Zoning board’s public hearing at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe Wednesday night, Zoning administrator Geralyn C. Dela Cruz said that P&A Corp. will be conducting guided horse tours in their property. “So they cannot go out into the public streets,” Dela Cruz said. “So everything is to be done in their property.”

The administrator said there is only one horse. “Their goal is to provide more outdoor entertainment for the community,” she said.

The location of the proposed Horseback Riding area is behind the Sunshine Laundry on Afetna Road.

Dela Cruz said the company also owns the roller skates at the Winners’ compound in Afetnas.

P&A Corp. vice president Doyi Kim signed the application.
