CNMI Zoning Board chair Diego Blanco has already submitted his courtesy resignation letter to Gov. Ralph DLG Torres.

Blanco said he did not have to, according to legal advice, but he went ahead and resigned.

He is unsure if the other board members also submitted their courtesy resignations.

The other Zoning Board members are Joe Ayuyu Jr., Patrick Reyes, and Mariano Taitano.

George Fleming has not been sworn in yet to the board.

Zoning Board administrator Therese Ogumoro is not required to submit her resignation.

Last Nov. 18, Gov. Ralph DLG Torres asked all Cabinet members, board members, and commission members to submit their courtesy resignations.

Torres and Senate President Arnold Palacios (R-Saipan) will be sworn in as governor and lieutenant governor, respectively, this Monday, Jan. 14.
