For much of the year, the sun passes just south of overhead in Guam at noon. Today, April 27, the sun passes directly overhead. This means that at noon today the shadow will be very small, according to a post on the Facebook page of the U.S. National Weather Service Guam. The time the sun passes overhead is at 12:19pm.

Go out around 12:19 the next few days and look at the short shadow.

Saipan will see Zero Shadow Day on May 2.

After that, shadows will gradually grow longer on the south side of buildings for a few months. From April 28 through Aug. 15 the sun will pass north of overhead. (Saipan Tribune)
