Collection of damaged transformers

In coordination with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. advises all residents that the collection of down and damaged transformers is ongoing on Saipan and Tinian.

Throughout this utility restoration period, CUC advises the public to refrain from handling damaged transformers and to keep children away from them for safety reasons. CUC said the material requires special handling and certain procedures for disposal. CUC advises residents to stay clear of the transformer units until the collection team has removed them. (PR)
