Franchesca Yumul ruled the roost in the Mini ATV Class of the March 2023 Monster Energy Point Series Race last March 18 at the Cowtown Race Track.
Yumul topped the division with 47 points, followed by Kimason Cabrera and Anella Igitol with 45 points and 22 points, respectively.
“To win the Mini ATV class felt exciting but underwhelming since I knew I could’ve pushed myself further. My secret to winning is to have confidence in yourself and know you can always be your best self when out on the track,” said the 14-year-old student from Marianas High School.
She said last March 18’s race was conducive to riding your best race of the year.
“The weather and course were in perfect condition at the time and gave me zero problems when racing,”
Yumul dedicated her March Mini ATV win to her father, Department of Public Works Secretary Ray Yumul.
“I’d like to dedicate my win to my coach and dad who worked hard to put me out there on that race course,” she said.
The March 2023 Monster Energy Point Series Race was organized by the Marianas Racing Association and was held earlier than usual as MRA members will take part in next month’s Smoking Wheels motocross race in neighboring Guam.
