Yuko tops CWGA July tourney

Yuko Togawa joined the elite list of the CNMI Women’s Golf Association’s monthly winners after topping the club’s July ace last July 10 at the Kingfisher Golf Links in Talafofo.
Togawa fired a net score of 73 to win the monthly plum on the strength of a 75 gross. The 2-handicapper shot 2-over 38 in the front nine and an impressive 1-over 37 in the back nine.
Kyunga Park finished second for the July tourney, carding net score of 74 built on a gross of 88. The 14-handicapper came away with a 45 in the first nine holes and 43 in the final nine holes.
Completing the Top 3 was Su Jeong Yi with her net 76. The 7-handicapper fired a 42 and 41 in the front and back nines for a gross of 83.
For winning the July tourney, Togawa joins Park (January), Jones Sherlyn (February, March, April), Flor Jones (May), and Terry Guerrero (May) as monthly winners of CWGA’s tournaments so far this year.
CWGA’s next monthly tournament is scheduled on Aug. 21 at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
