Youth summer program, employment program to open
The Youth Affairs Office under the CNMI Office of the Governor announced Friday that the department will be having a Summer Youth Program and Summer Youth Employment Program from July 6, 2022 to Aug. 19, 2022.
The goal of the Youth Affairs Office is to stay actively committed to ensuring our children and youth receive positive development and quality education during school and out-of-school time, focusing on education, career readiness, health, civic participation, youth talent, leadership, and general life skills to ensure their success in their overall growth.
In addition, the 2022 Governor’s Summer Youth Employment Program is providing opportunities to youth ages 14-17 to build positive life skill development, expand career and technical experience, engage in career-oriented opportunities, and experience financial responsibility in participating in employment opportunities with local government agencies.
To register, applications will be available at the San Vicente Youth Center and the CNMI Office of the Governor’s mailroom. The registration window will be active on June 27, 28, 29, and 30.
● Monday through Thursday, from 7:30am to 4:30pm
● 600 applications are available for the 2022 Governor’s Youth Employment Program (ages 14 to 17 years old)
● 100 applications are available for the Youth Summer Program (ages 5 to 17 years old)
● Completed applications must be submitted at the San Vicente Youth Center or the mailroom of the CNMI Office of the Governor.
(Application pick-up will close before June 30, 2022, if all slots are filled for both applications).
