Attorney General Edward Manibusan announced yesterday that Hessel Yntema IV has joined the Office of the Attorney General.
“We are pleased to welcome Mr. Yntema to our Civil Division team. He will be handling litigation matters and serve as counsel for several of our law enforcement agencies,” said Manibusan.
A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Yntema worked as an assistant city attorney in Albuquerque. He has handled civil rights cases, state and federal constitutional claims and real property matters. Yntema has also served as counsel for several municipal agencies including human resources, personnel and labor boards, and real property.
“I am excited to be here and privileged to serve the people of the Commonwealth,” Yntema said.
Yntema graduated cum laude in 2013 from the University of Michigan Law School and received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
Yntema was sworn in on Thursday, July 13, by Chief Justice Alexandro C. Castro.
