Rota’s Jasmin Coleen Yalung and Tinian’s Amina V. Hossain took first place in the Paseo De Marianas Promoters, Inc.’s 12th annual drawing contest that will be featured at the Paseo de Marianas.

Yalung, a third grader from Sinapalo Elementary School, and Hossain, a third grader at Tinian Elementary School, were awarded $50 each for their entries in the PDM “My Holiday Greetings to our Visitors” drawing contest.

Rota’s Dante Fernandez, sixth grader, and Tinian’s Niesa Borja, third grader, won second place and were both awarded $30 and their drawings will also be featured at the Paseo.

Third place was awarded to Rota’s Zaydin Atalig, sixth grader, and Matt Adriel A. Sencio, third grader, along with $20.

The drawing competition allows Rota and Tinian elementary school students to take part in the PDM’s annual Christmas celebration of decorating the Paseo.

For elementary school and middle school students on Saipan, PDM has the Christmas tree decoration contest.
