Worldwide Marriage Day on Feb. 8
World Marriage Day honors husband and wife as head of the family, the basic unit of society. It salutes the beauty of their faithfulness, sacrifice and joy in daily married life. World Marriage Day is held each year on the second Sunday in February; for this year World Marriage Day is on Feb. 8, 2015. We invite all married couples to join your Parish Priest and Church Pastor in celebrating this year’s World Marriage Day.
The CNMI Worldwide Marriage Encounter community would like to offer loving ideas on spending some quality time with your spouse and family.
1) Have you hugged your spouse today?
2) Call your spouse right now and say “I love you.”
3) Take out your wedding pictures tonight and share a memory with family and friends.
4) Show the family movies tonight to celebrate a marriage well done.
5) Bring a gift tonight to your spouse.
6) Fix his or her favorite meal tonight.
7) Share your love for each other with your children tonight.
8) Ask your spouse for a date night.
9) Tell each other how much your marriage means to you.
10) Your marriage relationship is the most intimate relationship possible on earth. Be proud of it and the joys and sacrifices that have made it strong.
11) Reach out—not long distance—and touch your spouse.
12) Share your love story with your children tonight.
World Marriage Day held each year honors the lifelong commitment of husband and wife. World Marriage Day events provide the visible sign of support couples need to continue to make the daily decision to love one another.
