Workshop on the responsible sales of alcohol and tobacco
Island Training Solutions, in partnership with the Commonwealth Health Care Corp., Community Guidance Center, through the support of the Department of Commerce, Alcohol Beverage and Tobacco Control Division, will be offering responsible alcohol and tobacco sales and services training for businesses who holds a Class-4 Off-Sale Alcohol Retailer license and Class-2 Tobacco Retailer license.
The training will focus on how to properly ID customers and how to decline or refuse a sale. Part of the discussion will also cover the regulations, in addition to the importance of selling alcohol and tobacco responsibly and prevent the sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors.
The training will be held on Aug. 28 at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan with the following classes:
-Alcohol Retailer Workshop (Class-4 Off-Sale Alcohol Retailer Licensees): 8:30am–11:30am (Korean and Chinese interpreters will be available)
-Tobacco Merchant Workshop (Class-2 Tobacco Retailer Licensees): 1pm–3:30pm
There will be handouts offered in Chinese and Korean to help businessowners and managers whose primary language is not English. There will also be interpreters who will help with the training and allow for questions.
The ABTC Division urges all licensed Class-4 Off-Sale Alcohol Retailers and Class-2 Tobacco Retailers to attend or send a company representative to this training.
