Woman allegedly tries to stab sister, others
A woman allegedly went berserk by trying to stab her sister and other family members with a knife in Kagman on Saturday night.
Julita Matagolai Namauleg, 48, who was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, criminal mischief, and disturbing the peace, also allegedly damaged their car.
Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho maintained yesterday Namauleg’s $5,500 cash bail and set the preliminary hearing for May 26 at 1:30pm.
Police detective Daniel Maliuyaf stated in his report that two police officers responded to a residence in Kagman III on Saturday night after a caller informed police about a woman chasing them with a knife and breaking things in their house.
The officers learned that Namauleg had gotten drunk and started acting up. When a family member confronted her, Namauleg got mad, grabbed a knife, and tried to stab her sister and other household members, who all ran outside the house.
Namauleg then allegedly broke things in the house and damaged the front windshield of her sister’s car with the knife.
The suspect also scratched the car’s body with the knife and broke the sliding door curtain holder inside the house.
