A woman has accused her boyfriend of punching her and pulling her hair last Wednesday in China Town during an argument.

Anthony Eugenio is now facing charges of disturbing the peace and assault and battery. Eugenio’s bail was set at $5,000 cash; preliminary hearing is on March 9, 2017.

Responding to a report, police went to the house of the victim on March 1, 2017, in China Town. Police found her with her shirt torn and in tears. She told police that her boyfriend, Eugenio, beat her up.

Later, at around 5pm that same day, police spotted Eugenio elsewhere and arrested him.

The next day, in an interview with police, the girlfriend said that around 1pm she, with Eugenio and their three children, were in the car heading to As Terlaje to visit a friend when she and Eugenio started arguing.

During this argument, Eugenio allegedly grabbed her by the hair and repeatedly hit her head against the car’s dashboard. He also allegedly punches her head.

At one point, Eugenio pulled over at the shoulder of the road, opened her door, and tried to force her to get out, tearing her shirt in the process.

As soon as they reach their home in China Town, the victim got down and Eugenio left with their other two children. That’s when she decided to call the police.

The girlfriend told the police that this was not the first time Eugenio has hit her, that he has been hitting her since they got together five years ago.

She claims that Eugenio tried to push her out of their car during arguments a couple of times during her last pregnancy but she managed to hold on.
