Famous international star Leilani Wolfgramm, in conjunction with the Saipan Mayor’s Office, Roil Soil Clothing, and Docomo Pacific, will be giving away 1,000 free concert tickets to the community for her concert this Saturday at the Marianas Business Plaza in Susupe.

Yesterday, Docomo Pacific hosted a press conference for Wolfgramm and DJ Hoppaboy who arrived on Saipan this week in hopes of performing during the 2018 Liberation Day parade that was cancelled due to inclement weather.

During the press conference, Roil Soil Clothing co-owner Shane Villanueva shared the exciting news that Wolfgramm has agreed to give away 1,000 concert tickets to the first 1,000 individuals who visit the Saipan Mayor’s Office anytime today. Free tickets are on a first-come, first-serve basis and individuals are permitted only one ticket each.

According to Villanueva, this is to make up for the inconvenience of last-minute changes to the concert venue and for the missed Liberation Day concert.

“We have a venue change…the venue is not going to be at Laolao [Bay Golf & Resort] anymore just because it’s going to be dangerous for the crew to set up and also dangerous for the patrons so we are now going to have it at the Marianas Business Plaza…you wont get wet, there is going to be decent parking…everything is still going to be there the only difference is that now we are not going to party in the rain so it’ll be safer for everybody,” he said.

As far as the expected Liberation Day festival, Villanueva said Wolfgramm, her crew, and DJ Happa Boy will hold a short acoustic set at the Marianas Business Plaza’s parking area starting at 7pm to also make up for the July 4th concert.

“The mayor has agreed, we worked something out really last minute…and we came up with the idea to perform a really short set… We are going to be doing a small acoustic set tomorrow night [today] at the Marianas Business Plaza at 7pm that will be free for the public,” he said

Wolfgramm’s concert will be held this Saturday starting at 3pm at the Marianas Business Plaza parking area and will feature DJ Happa Boy, a Guam band called Mix Plate, and local artists and bands like Uprooted, Micro Mix, the Micronesian Project, DJ Ken, and Gahdi.

Wolfgramm said that the community should expect nothing less than good vibes and an incredibly fun, energetic party during her concert. “Just be ready to dance and feel the good vibes,” she said.

Wolfgramm and DJ Happa Boy noted that they are dedicated to giving the Saipan community the best concert possible.

When asked about her first impression of Saipan, Wolfgramm said that it felt like being back home.

“When I stepped off the plane, it was like I was back in Orlando. It was that humidity that I love and just all the greenery and all these families that came together to see someone off…just that it’s a very family oriented place,” she said.
