Dela Cruz’s career with the judge encompasses 17 years as his secretary in his law office and more than 13 years as a judicial assistant while he has been on the bench.
At the special occasion—which was attended by family, judges, and court staff—the judge extended his “most sincere appreciation and gratitude to Vivian S. Dela Cruz for her three decades of dedicated, competent, and loyal service.”
Dela Cruz expressed her appreciation of her long-term employment with Wiseman. “I am very thankful for having the opportunities he has afforded me. Words cannot express how blessed and how appreciative my husband, family, and I are to have such a wonderful boss in my life.”
Dela Cruz was only 18 years old when she started working as Wiseman’s secretary. She and her husband, Edward Dela Cruz, have three children—Edward Jr., Daphne, and Remedio—all born during her employment and for whom the judge and his wife, Faythe, are godparents. (NMI Judiciary)
