The Jokers WildBoyz breezed past Jonny’s Team SCS to stay within striking distance of the Top 2 teams in the Budweiser Open 8-Ball Thursday League held last week at Jokers Bar and Grill in Garapan.

The WildBoyz were a rude host to SCS, running away with an 11-2 decision behind the cue sticks of Patrick Cepeda, Ray Matsunaga, John Reyes, and Randy Sablan.

Bryan Fabre and Jerry Tiu scored the two wins for Team SCS as they fell behind by 1-5 early in the game.

The WildBoyz now has a 38-27 record, just one win away from fellow Jokers-backed squad Homeboyz’s 39-26 slate and four away from the 42-23 of the league-leading National Alamo Car Rental.

The Wild Bill’s Wild Wild West (28-37), Wild Bill’s Rack ‘N’ Roll (25-40), and Team SCS (23-42) form the lower half of the standings.

Alamo also had an easy time against Rack ‘N’ Roll with a 10-3 triumph, while Homeboyz completed an 8-5 win over the Wild Wild West.

In the Tuesday League, the Jokers IT&E Voyagers and sister squad Destroyers remain 1-2 in the standings after last week’s results against their respective opponents.

The Voyagers trounced the Docomo Hustlers, 8-5, for a league-best 47-31 mark, while the Destroyers are close behind at 46-32 following a 9-4 victory against the Jonny’s Crazy 8 (32-46).

The loss dropped the Hustlers to 41-37 with the Jonny’s Titans improving to 35-43 after a 9-4 win over the Jokers StraightBlackBall (33-45).

Games today in the Tuesday League will have the StraightBlackBall testing the Destroyers, the Voyagers facing the Titans, and the Hustlers going up against the Crazy 8.

In the Thursday League, the Triple W’s take on the leaders Alamo, while Team SCS host the Rack ‘N’ Roll with the Homeboyz visiting the WildBoyz on Dec. 17 before matches take a break for two play dates on Dec. 24 and 31, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
