Thoensaket scored four goals in the victory, Wild Bill’s second in as many games, giving the team the solo lead in Group A of the 10-team league.

The Wild Bill’s striker tallied three goals in succession in the first half for a big 5-1 halftime lead. Thoensaket made his first goal in the eighth minute and had his next two in a span of two minutes, as he scored in the 18th and 20th. Wild Bill’s two other goals came from Tanapon Unsa and Moses Kila, who found the back of the net in the 34th and 40th minute, respectively.

Tan Holdings broke into the scoreboard in the 12th minute off Wai Wo Lee’s goal to equalize before Thoensaket scored his second and third goal.

Thoensaket was a marked man early in the second half, but still he found a way to elude his defenders and gave Wild Bill’s another goal in the 52nd minute.

Tan Holdings was the first team to lit up the scoreboard in the second half off Chris Leon Guerrero’s goal in the 50th minute. Then 30 minutes later, Lee canned his second goal to cut the lead to three, 3-6. However, Wild Bill’s answered quickly with Guo Jiayuan’s goal in the 83rd.

Paire 4, Shirley’s FC 0

In the other Group A game, Paire Football Club shut out Shirley’s FC.

The win was first in two matches for Paire, which dropped its season opener against Wild Bill’s, 1-3. Shirley’s FC lost its first game of the season.

Risty Vergara logged twin goals for Paire, while Timothy Tawanpiy and Tonuu Ropati added one apiece. Vergara’s first goal came in the 13th minute and he recorded his second one 10 minutes later.

Tawanpiy made it a 3-0 count for Paire when he scored in the 30th minute. Ropati had his lone goal in the second half at the 68th minute mark.

Inter Godfather’s 10, SKY FC 0

In the lone match in Group B, Inter Godfather’s showed no mercy against SKY FC.

The victory improved Inter Godfather’s record to 2-0 and put the team in the lead against MP United B (1-0-0), Matansa (0-0-1), and Korean Football Association on Saipan (0-0-0). Inter Godfather’s won its season debut over Matansa last week, 1-0, behind Masatoshi Otsuka’s goal.

Against SKY FC, Otsuka had a hat-trick, while Chris Nelson and Gilmark Reusora chipped in two goals each. Also scoring for Inter Godfather’s were Matthew Holley and Jacob Van Dam.

Though Inter Godfather’s scored a lot of goals, it took the team a while before getting its offensive rhythm, as the first goal came with 30 minutes had already gone by in the first half. Nelson made the first goal and three minutes later Otsuka hit his first goal for Inter Godfather’s 2-0 lead at the break.

The second half was much easier for Inter Godfather’s, as it found loopholes on SKY FC’s defense several times to score eight more goals. Four of those goals were recorded in a span of 10 minutes.

SKY FC absorbed its second straight defeat after a loss by forfeit against MP United B in Week 1.
