Wild Bill’s forced a draw against Korean Football Association to Saipan to remain on top of the leaderboard in the M-League.

Jack Thoensaket drilled a game-tying goal in the 48th minute to help Wild Bill’s improve to a 14-4-0 win-draw-loss record and 46 points in Division 1. Wild Bill’s is ahead by one win against Tan Holdings FC (13-2-4) and two over Inter Godfather’s (12-2-5).

KFAS remained at fourth place with its 11-5-4 slate. It threatened to hand Wild Bill’s its first loss in the league when Byung Kwan Ohng found the back of the net in the 28th minute of their match last Sunday at the Oleai Sports Complex Field. However, Wild Bill’s battled back in the second half with an early goal from Thoensaket.

Two more games were played last Sunday with Tan Holdings capitalizing on the depleted MP United crew en route to an 8-0 win and Sun Palace and the Thundercats settling for a draw in their Division 2 match.

Sean Perez had a hat-trick for Tan Holdings, while Ruselle Zapanta chipped in two goals. J.J. Takano, Bradley Brostrom, and Jershwin Angeles added one goal apiece.

In the Division 2 match, the Thundercats scored first off Timothy Tawanpiy’s goal in the 41st minute, but Sun Palace equalized in the second half, thanks to Jin Jihu’s goal in the 60th minute.

Women’s league
Meanwhile, only two matches in the 2014 NMIFA Women’s Spring League were played last Saturday at the Oleai Sports Complex Field.

The first game between Paire and Shirley’s FC resulted in a forfeit for the latter, as the former did not have enough players for the match. The opposing teams, however, still play a friendly game.

In the second match, Matansa won over Tan Holdings FC, 1-0. Pratoom Stoffer scored the lone goal in the Matansa victory, as she hit her target in the 32nd minute.

In the third tiff, Kanoa had a similar 1-0 triumph over MP United. Marielle Gariguez scored for Kanoa FC three minutes before the first half ended.
