Jeeraphong Thoensaket was in his usual explosive night, scoring a hat-trick in Wild Bill’s 6-5 win over IT&E in the men’s division of the 2011 Saipan Soccer School Futsal League on Monday night at the TSL Sports Complex.

The victory was 12th in 13 games for Wild Bill’s, moving the team one win away from sweeping the second round of the double-round robin competition. The triumph was also ninth in a row for Wild Bill’s and it has yet to taste defeat for over a month now since absorbing its first lost at the hands of Korean Futsal Team, 6-8, last Aug. 1.

Thoensaket canned twin goals in the first half, lifting Wild Bill’s to a 4-2 lead. Jiayuan Guo and Jack Tanapon scored the two other goals for Wild Bill’s in the opening frame. Jin Han Yoon and Seoung Joon Lee tallied one apiece for IT&E, which dropped to a 5-8-1 win-loss-draw record.

In the second half, Thoensaket and Tanapon added only one goal each, but it was enough to save Wild Bill’s, as IT&E managed only three. Yoon recorded his second goal in the final half, while Kirk Schuler and Aji Thomas also made it to the scoreboard.

Docomo 9, Thundercats 2

In the other men’s game, Docomo notched its eighth win after whipping the Thundercats.

Ropati Tonuu paced Docomo with his five goals. He had three in the first half, as he outscored the entire Thundecats, who only posted two goals, one each from Evert Van Der Mass and Daniel Agulto.

The Thundercats were silent in the second half, while Docomo fired five more, two each from Tonuu and Dan Westphal. Peter Loken also scored in the second half, while Isra Narahap contributed one goal in the opening half.

With the win, Docomo (8-3-2) is now in solo second place behind Wild Bill’s.

The Thundercats remained winless with only one game left in the competition.
