Who wants to be Saipan’s next top chef?
Attention all chefs! Who wants to take the title for the “2012 Saipan’s Next Top Chef Competition”? If you love to cook, and you’re ready to show off your culinary skills and help a worthy cause, sign up for this exciting event.
The Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation, in conjunction with Pacific Islands Club, is pleased to announce that the annual fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, July 28, 2012, at the Charley’s Cabaret.
Rose Smith, founder of the EVMF, said the funds that are raised will be committed to assisting families on Saipan, in Kenya, and the Philippines. “Our organization sponsors programs such as free health screenings for women, school supplies to children, and education tuition for orphans and street children,” she added.
Last year, Saipan’s Top Chef winner, Melquiades De Ramos, said “The best part about winning, is knowing that I was a part of an event that raised money to help desperate families, especially orphans and women. I encourage all chefs to join the competition and help this wonderful charity.”
Prizes will award to the top three chefs garnering points from a panel of judges. Space is limited and if you’re interested in competing, contact the organizers, Rose Smith at 483-0162 or email roseevm@yahoo.com; Shelli Neal at shellineal@gmail.com; or Vicky Benavente at 237-5103 or vickybenavente@gmail.com.
