Where to dispose of typhoon debris
The Emergency Operations Center, in collaboration with the Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality, has designated two sites for typhoon debris staging. The general public is encouraged to utilize these sites, in addition to the Marpi Landfill or Lower Base Transfer Station, as you begin to clean your homes of typhoon debris. These sites will serve as a temporary staging area strictly for green wastes, roofing tin, and damaged lumber.
Locations of debris storage:
-Public land in As Gonno: Located on Magisa Dr. off As Perdido Rd.
-Marpi Landfill
The staging area will operate under the following conditions, set forth by BECQ
-Hours of operation will be Monday –Saturdays, 9am-5pm; Sunday 9am-12pm
-The public is encouraged to deliver typhoon debris to the location most convenient.
-BECQ encourages the general public to segregate the roofing tin and building lumber from the green wastes to ease the process.
-These sites will strictly serve as a temporary staging area for the waste streams named earlier; all other wastes streams will be directed to the Lower Base Transfer Station or Marpi Landfill.
Hazardous wastes shall not be delivered at these sites.
