What to do and where to go on V-Day

It’s already the second week of February and that only means one thing; Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Chocolate candy hearts, flowers, and a dinner date for two are the common formula for the so-called love month. Call it cheesy, but let’s all be honest here we secretly love it. It is only this time of the year where we bring out the Romeos and Juliets among us.

Here’s a “where to go” and “what to give” guide for all the lovers, couples, friends, and families out there who wanted to be in the mood for the most romantic season.

WINE & DINE
Aqua Resort Club
Head up north to one of Achugao’s familiar hotel resort and treat your special someone to a dinner buffet that features a menu of Certified Black Angus roast prime ribs, lamb shawarma, baked Atlantic whole salmon, tuna sashimi, sushi station, snow crab legs, Panzanella (Tuscan salad) station, and a lot more. The dinner comes with bottomless wine and beer.

Sparks will surely fill the air while you wine and dine as ARC’s in-house pianist and violinist would further invigorate your romantic mood with classical love songs. Ladies would also get a fresh rose for free while exciting raffle giveaways are also at stake.

Be in love while playing in Club C. Enjoy the island’s first e-gaming facility while sipping drinks with your special date. Try the appetizer medley for just $12.95 and get two free glasses of champagne. The appetizer medley includes Buffalo wings, lumpia, salad sticks, French fries and peanuts.

Ladies who will be wearing red will get free chocolates. Club C is also offering a special Hearts Day promo of two drinks for the price of one.

Try couple drinks Mojito and Margarita, Vodka Tonic and Vodka Cranberry, Bloody Mary and Strawberry Daiquiri, and Mai-Tai and Sex On The Beach at $9 each, or Pink Lady and Grasshopper at $6. Alcoholic milkshakes are also available. Must be 21 to consume alcohol.

Fiesta Resort
For a more intimate Heart’s Day celebration, why not try Mai Teppanyaki’s Valentine’s Special—a five-course menu that comes with a bottle of Bottega Fragolino per couple at $155. Couples will also be receiving a Chambre Bar complimentary drink coupon with the choice of frozen, regular or flavored Margarita.

The five-course menu will have seared Teppan-style scallops with crispy fried leeks on raspberry coulis; clear fish bouillon, lobster ravioli in saffron foam; a choice of lemon-pepper seared Chilean sea bass or veal steak and Porcini coulis served with buttered vegetables and potato; and Valentine’s dessert.

Sunshine Garden
For those who are not into the mushy stuff, you can go and try one of Saipan’s newest food destinations, Sunshine Garden Restaurant in Texas Road in Susupe behind the Marianas Business Plaza. They have a Valentine’s Day special offer of steak and lobster combo for $45.
