A local web developing company has informed the Friends of San Jose Church Tinian that they will be donating their time and skills to create a website that would showcase the development of the San Jose Church on Tinian.

According FSJC president Kimberlyn King-Hinds, FSJC was excited to announce its new partnership with Turnkey Solutions, a local web developing company, which is donating their time and talent to help design a Web page that will be launched to kick off the beginning of a major fundraising campaign to build a permanent concrete church for the people of Tinian.

Turnkey Solutions is a local CNMI consulting firm that specializes in customized Web development and design, database development and management, search engine optimization, and data analytics utilizing the latest technology trends.

King-Hinds said the design for the new church is in the final stages of completion and it will be open to the public for viewing once the website is up and running.

“The Web page will allow users to view the design of the new building, receive regular updates on the progress of the project and allow donors to make monetary contributions with ease,” she said.

The organization’s president noted that the cost to build the new concrete church will be around $2 million and that information, as well as the link to donate, will also be available on the website.

“We anticipate the cost of new concrete church to be well over 2 million dollars. Having a professionally designed website that is easy to navigate as well as make donations is a critical component to the success of our fundraising efforts and we are so grateful to have friends at Turnkey Solutions who deem this cause worthy of their time and talent,” King-Hinds stated.

Earlier this year, the group completed the first phase of the project in December with the turnover of the refurbished Tinian Social Hall, which is now the temporary place of worship for the Tinian Catholic parishioners.

The second phase of the project is to build a concrete, air-conditioned church building that will include living quarters for the priest, parish office space, baptistry, choir, and chapel to accommodate smaller daily Mass services.

The intent is for the design to as much as possible replicate the original church that was built by the people of Tinian in the 1950’s but was destroyed by Supertyphoon Yutu in 2018.
