Waterline connection project is a go

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. awarded on April 23, 2014, a $173,621 contract to AIC Marianas Inc. for the construction of the Chalan Kiya-Kannat Tabla Waterline Connection Project.
This project consists of the installation of a new six-inch ductile iron distribution waterline connecting the Kannat Tabla reservoir to the existing Chalan Kiya water distribution main line. Construction will also include the replacement of various gate valves and relocation of water service laterals at designated areas within the Chalan Kiya village.

This waterline improvement project is funded by a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The project completion date is scheduled for Dec. 19, 2014. CUC will be informing the public and residence within Chalan Kiya when the construction work will begin. (CUC)
