Water service to resume today in parts of Kagman 3; power outage on Monday

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. expect repair work on a busted water main in Kagman to be completed today, Nov. 25, 2020, at 4pm, and water service to the affected areas will resume soon after.

The emergency water outage was in effect yesterday, starting 9:30am, affecting Kagman 3-Phase 3, from Lalanghita Road east toward Tank Beach and south toward Forbidden Island, due to an 8-inch mainline leak on Pine Drive in Kagman 3.

Meanwhile, there will be scheduled power interruptions on Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, as follows:

FEEDER-4
-Time: 9am – 9:30am
-Areas Affected: Capital Hill, Capitol Hill Rd., Tapochao Road, Papago Dr., Egigi Dr., I-Denni, As Teo, and Papago
-Time: 9am – 1pm
-Areas Affected: I-Denni Isa Dr. (from Egigi Dr. to former Dr. Jack’s Restaurant)
-Traffic Light Affected: None
-Water Well Affected: None
-Wastewater Lift Station Affected: None
-Purpose of the Outage: To replace a defective airbrake switch as well as replace a wooden power pole to concrete pole along Isa Drive in I-Denni

KIYA-2
-Time: 9am – 9:30am
-Areas Affected: San Antonio, Afetnas, Chalan Tun Thomas P. Sablan, and Batto Pl.
-Time: 9am – 1pm
-Areas Affected: San Antonio (Sagamilon St., Laiguan Av., and the San Antonio Supermarket)
-Traffic Light Affected: None
-Water Well Affected: None
-Wastewater Lift Station Affected: None
-Purpose of the Outage: To relocate primary lines

Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the working area.
