Water outage on Upper Navy Hill

Share

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform residents of Upper Navy Hill and along Isla Drive that their water service may be periodically interrupted between 9am and 4:30pm to allow CUC’s contractor, GPPC, to replace non-working gate valves located along the Upper Navy Hill area. This gate valve replacement will take place starting May 19, 2014, and CUC estimates the work to be completed within two to three weeks. GPPC will replace the valves systematically so that smaller areas will be affected as they work their way up around the Upper Navy Hill.

This valve replacement is part of the Navy Hill Water Line and Pressure Improvement Project funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

CUC’s operations  team  and  GPPC  will  be  working hard  to  return  service  to customers in these affected areas as soon as possible. Because of the scale of the work to be performed, CUC recommends that motorists exercise caution when driving through the construction sites.

CUC apologizes in advance for any inconvenience resulting from this project and the water service interruption. Direct inquiries to project manager Larry Manacop, at (670) 236-4332. (CUC)
