Water interruption in Papago, San Vicente, Dandan
There is currently an emergency water service interruption in the Papago, San Vicente, and Dandan areas that is expected to be fixed by 7am this morning.
According to a Commonwealth Utilities Corp. notice, the cause of the water interruption is due to the failure and damage of the 12-inch water transmission mainline.
The location of the mainline break is on the southbound lane on Cha Cha Road in Kagman near the Kagman intersection.
As a result of the damaged waterline, water cannot be distributed to the Kagman booster station that supplies water to the Papago, San Vicente, and Dandan water tank.
CUC is currently making the necessary repairs and it is expected to complete repair work this morning, May 14. Customers should expect restoration of regular water service hours soon thereafter and are advised to conserve water due to limited water supply.
For the safety of CUC men and women working at the site, motorists are advised to proceed with caution when traveling through the area or to take alternative routes as the southbound lane on Cha Cha Road of the Kagman intersection will be closed.
