The season for Red Kettles is here!

With the approaching holidays, the Salvation Army is looking for volunteers as bell ringers from Nov. 29, the day after Thanksgiving, up until Dec. 24, Christmas Eve.

The bell ringers would do two-hour shifts each.

The Red Kettle campaign is the Salvation Army’s annual fundraiser to help raise money to help provide for members of the community who are in need.

Nationwide, the campaign has provided toys for kids, provided coats for the homeless, as well as food for the hungry, on top of social service programs that the international movement provides all year.

Year round, the Salvation Army serves meals to individuals and families on the island.

Aside from the Red Kettle campaign, the Salvation Army will also have a delivery of Thanksgiving meals to tent dwellers, low income families, and the homeless on Thanksgiving Day. The movement is also calling on the community to support their annual toy drive, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Saipan and Toys for Tots.

To sign up as volunteer or for more information on how your business can participate, contact Pastor Wayne Gillespie at 483-0885 or gaprens@yahoo.com.
