The Department of Public Safety is on the hunt for two men who are believed to have burglarized the Veterans of Foreign Wars Sports Bar in Garapan last Friday.

DPS spokesperson Adrian Pangelina said the department is asking for the community’s help to identify the two men who were caught on surveillance camera walking through the bar at the same time a robbery took place at the establishment.

“If you have any information on the incident that took place at the VFW sports bar in Garapan, please call 911. If you wish to remain anonymous please call the CNMI Crime Stoppers hotline at 234-7272. Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 for any information leading to an arrest,” a DPS statement said.

Police reports state that DPS received a 911 call at around 1:25pm last Friday, Nov. 26, reporting a burglary and theft incident at the bar.

At the scene, a staff member of the establishment stated that unknown individuals had broken into the bar. Items missing included 10 or 11 bottles of tequila and whiskey.

Upon reviewing the surveillance video, police noticed two unknown individuals wearing light-colored hoodies, light-colored shorts, and a dark-colored bag-pack walking throughout the bar.
