‘Walk for the Red’ April 1
The annual American Red Cross “Walk for the Red” will be held on April 1, 2017.
This Red Cross event has bouncy houses for children, face painting, and other activities. There are also many prizes to be won for the following categories:
Top 4 students with the highest pledges will receive a free iPad Mini donated by Docomo Pacific.
For pledges of $75 or more, you will receive two waterpark passes to Pacific Islands Club.
Individual non-students (adults): first, second, and third prizes (based on the largest amount of donations collected).
Businesses and government agencies: Top business and government agency (the largest amount of walkers).
Other non-school/non-profit organizations: Top non-profit organization (the largest amount of donations collected by the group)
Aid station sponsors: Most spirited aid station
And much more!
The monies raised by each walker go directly to support the Red Cross NMI Chapter and its many activities. The funds are used here in the Commonwealth to provide assistance to those in need.
Whether it’s helping a single-family fire victim in the middle of the night, or teaching someone to swim, the Red Cross NMI Chapter is here to serve our community. The chapter provides disaster relief assistance, first aid, and CPR training, swimming and lifeguard classes, as well as community education on disaster hazards like typhoons, earthquakes and tsunamis.
The chapter also plays a vital role in providing emergency communications for family members trying to reach loved ones in the military.
The NMI Chapter relies solely on the support and financial generosity of the people in the Commonwealth.
