Voter registration drive at MHS

The Commonwealth Election Commission will conduct a voter registration drive at the Marianas High School in Susupe next week in preparation for the upcoming Nov. 6 general election.

The voter registration drive will be held at MHS and Da-ok Academy High School on Thursday, April 26, from 10am to 1pm.

CEC election register clerk Robin Sablan said Wednesday that they are targeting senior students, teachers, school staff, and members of the community in that area.

“We’re reaching out to private and public high schools,” he said.

To register and show proof of their citizenship, potential voters should bring a copy of their birth certificate certified by the court, a current valid U.S. passport, or naturalization documents.

CEC has been encouraging students who will be turning 18 years old on or before the Nov. 6 election to register.

Last Friday’s CEC’s voter registration drive at Kagman High School Library was able to attract 62 persons, most of them students.
