LITERARY NOOK
Virtue & Vices: Peace & Chaos Devices
Chaotic Myopic Optic
The sun also rose above ground recently froze
storm clouds and fatigue slowed my dressing
and kept my room and sad mood in the dark.
As The World Turns no longer soaps the tube
but its unceasingly delivering cold as I shiver.
Chaos slowed down for another day clowning
around life’s circus as I walked along the river
topsy turvey running ahead baiting the hooks
searching through crannies and narrow nooks
stopping starting my bewildered brain farting.
Stop it? No way! The sun will surely rise up
tomorrow; joy, sorrow, and doggerel departing.
Chaotic confusion odd illusion kettle on the boil
logic burns in the toaster of life’s roller coaster.
A Sonorous Release of Peace
A peaceful sonorous sonnet filled with word twisters
gets a lease, increases peace, prayers to Saint Therese.
How do I know brothers and sisters? Many resistors
heard the joyous song and bumble of birds and bees.
Clouds fly away, sun out now, encouraged by gravity’s
rainbow, wearing a shimmering multicolored chemise.
Distant galaxies and black holes practice no surcease
while back on earth neutrinos blow in a tranquil breeze.
Online photos of children of my nephews and nieces
some creativity still resides in my failing mental cavities
as the sounds of children’s loving laughter increases
acrobatic elements of universal peace on life’s trapeze.
When we ‘stop the violence and increase the peace’
tranquility reigns supreme as we catch some ZZZ.
