The Department of Veterans Affairs Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital in Illinois thanked the Rotary Club of Saipan for their “concern and compassion” to veterans with a DVD donation in 2010.

In a letter dated Aug. 16, voluntary service chief Barbara J. Hunt extended her appreciation to the Rotary Club of Saipan on behalf of the hospital patients and staff.

“Your thoughtfulness reflects the concern that you feel for our veterans and for the service they provided to all of us while in service to our country,” wrote Hunt.

The Rotary Club of Saipan donated last year 1,000 DVDs to the website DVDs4Vets, which accepts DVDs and portable DVD players as donations to be distributed to various Veterans Affairs facilities such as hospitals and veteran centers throughout the United States. The Rotary Club of Saipan’s donation earned the organization the Honor Roll status at DVDs4Vets.
