VARO recognition on 40th anniversary

HAGATNA, Guam—October 2022 is a milestone for Victim Advocates Reaching Out, or VARO, as they are celebrating 40 years of service to the people of Guam.

In recognition of VARO’s service, Senator Amanda Shelton will present a Legislative Resolution in the Guam Legislature Public Hearing room at 11am on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022. The resolution also commends VARO for efforts to educate and ensure victims’ safety while providing services for the people of Guam.

Additionally, Gov. Lourdes A. Leon Guerrero and Lt. Gov. Joshua F. Tenorio will proclaim October 2022 as VARO month in a proclamation signing on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022 at 11am in the Large Conference Room of the Office of the Governor in Adelup.

VARO will celebrate its Anniversary by hosting an inaugural Purple Gala on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at 6pm, in the Nikko Hotel Tasi Ballroom. Tickets are available for purchase at $100 each.
