Vandalism at Kobler church

On April 3, 2022, at about 7:22am, the Department of Public Safety received a 911 call reporting a burglary and theft incident at the St. Jude Catholic Church on Saipan. Police were dispatched to the scene.

At the scene, police met with the caller and noticed a broken window and a brick next to a pile of broken glass. Police logged this case and began to investigate.

Deleon Guerrero

On April 5, 2022, DPS received a call from an anonymous caller stating that a boy named Byron Deleon Guerrero who resides in the village of Koblerville, damaged the church window.

In an interview with Deleon Guerrero, he admitted to damaging the window on this occasion and several times in the past. When asked why, Deleon Guerrero stated that, “there is nothing to do.”

This case has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General. (PR)
