Vaccination at Multi-Purpose moves to MCATS site at CHCC

The COVID-19 mass vaccination operations at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center will relocate to tent M6 of the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.’s Medical Care and Treatment Site on April 18 – 29, 2022, and will operate Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Additionally, in partnership with the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs’ Division of Youth Services, CHCC will host vaccination outreach sites at the Kagman Community Center and the Tanapag Youth Center during the following Saturday dates:

In Guam, the Joint Information Center was notified yesterday of two COVID-19-related fatalities.

The 353rd COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Regional Medical City on April 1, 2022. The patient was an 82-year-old male, fully vaccinated without a booster shot, who had underlying health conditions and tested positive on April 1.

The 354th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the GRMC on April 10, 2022. The patient was a 60-year-old female, fully vaccinated with one booster shot, who had underlying health conditions and tested positive on April 1.

“With each lost loved one, we are again faced with the harsh reality that we are not out of the woods yet,” said acting governor Josh Tenorio. “To their family and friends, Gov. Lou [Leon Guerrero], first gentleman Jeff [Cook], and I extend our sincerest sympathies and offer our prayers of comfort.”

Guam’s Department of Public Health and Social Services also reported 27 new cases of COVID-19 from 513 specimens analyzed on April 12, 2022. Five of the cases reported are through the Department of Defense. To date, there have been a total of 47,682 officially reported cases, 354 deaths, 203 cases in active isolation, and 47,125 not in active isolation.

In the CNMI, COVID-19 vaccines are also available at select private clinics, such as Medical Associates of the Pacific, Kagman Isla Community Health, Marianas Medical Center, as well as the following CHCC outpatient clinics: Family Care Clinic, Children’s Clinic, Women’s Clinic, Immunization Clinic, Tinian Health Center, and Rota Health Center. All locations will offer primary, additional, and booster doses of all U.S. FDA authorized/approved COVID-19 vaccine products.
