Police officers were dispatched to Chalan Kiya last Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, in response to a 911 call to the CNMI Department of Public Safety at about 10:12am about a burglary and theft incident at a home.

Officers arrived at the scene at about 10:19am and met with the caller, who reported that they had just returned from an off-island trip and came home to discover that the window to the main bedroom was slightly open, while the screen had been cut from its frame. The individual noticed that a couple of items were missing from the home before calling 911. The individual then led officers to the back of the home and showed officers a disturbed portion of grass that appeared to be a foot trail, to and from the window.

Items missing from the residence include one 50” black Sceptre flatscreen television, one white Apple TV device, one black Apple stainless steel watch band, one 6” red and silver HDMI cable, one white USB extendable lamp, and a roll of quarters.

This case remains on going. If you have any information related to this burglary and theft incident, call 911. If you wish to remain anonymous, call the CNMI Crime Stoppers hotline at 234-7272. (PR)
