The Administrative Law Class under the University of Guam’s Master of Public Administration program will be hosting a Medical Marijuana Policy Forum to discuss the status of the promulgation of rules and other matters relative to the Joaquin (KC) Concepcion II Compassionate Cannabis Use Act of 2013, pursuant to Public Law 32-134.

“As students of the Master of Public Administration program, we would like to ensure that the community is aware of issues that have significant impact to our community”, said forum chairperson and Master of Public Administration graduating student, Tasha Wade. “Discussions on the use of medical marijuana on our island have been quite prevalent for quite some time now and as a class, we feel that this forum will present an opportunity for the community to have a better understanding and to provide their feedback on the status of the promulgation of the rules for the use of medical marijuana.”

The Medical Marijuana Policy Forum will be organized in a panel presentation format and panelists will include various stakeholders to include representatives from the departments of the Government of Guam involved in the subject matter. The purpose of the forum is to generate awareness and build civic participation among different factions of our community.

The forum will take place on Saturday, April 25, at 11am at the University of Guam SBPA Room 131. The public is invited to attend this forum. For more information or any inquiries, contact Tasha Wade via email at tcdwade@gmail.com. (UOG)
