UOG hosts Charter Day 5K on March 6
The University of Guam celebrates its 48th Charter Day on Tuesday, March 8! This year’s theme is “Triton Spirit. One University. Many Voice.” To kick-off the events, the UOG Calvo Field House Athletics Department and the UOG Endowment Foundation will be hosting the annual 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Show time is 5am, go time is 6am.
The first 250 finishers will receive Dri-Fit Shirts! Runners can register at at the UOG Calvo Field House Main Office and online through the Eventbrite link at the UOG website: www.uog.edu/charterday and the UOG Endowment Foundation website: www.uogendowment.org. Early registration is $7 per individual or $24 per group of four and $10 per person on race day.
Proceeds from this special event will go toward the UOG Calvo Field House Athletics Department to purchase needed sports equipment for UOG students.
Childcare offered
As an added service, parents with children ages 2-8 may register for childcare while they run! The student organization Association for the Education of Young Children (AEYC) from the UOG School of Education has volunteered to run the childcare service.
