Police are currently looking for a suspect or group of suspects who threw an unidentified object and broke a window of the Cha Cafe and Bistro in Garapan last Jan. 11, 2020.

In a report by the CNMI Department of Public Safety yesterday, it said that DPS received a 911 call last Saturday, Jan. 11, at about 10:54pm, reporting a criminal mischief complaint at the establishment, which is located along Coral Tree Avenue in Garapan.

Police arrived at the scene at about 10:58pm and met with the caller, who is the owner of Cha Cafe and Bistro. The caller stated that an employee called him to the second floor patio/outside area after a loud “bang” was heard. Employees rushed to the second floor and noticed cracks in one of the windows but could not locate the object that was thrown. Employees then noticed a group of several male individuals, looking up toward the establishment before running south along the sidewalk on Beach Road.

This case remains ongoing. If you have any information on this incident, call 911 to report it. If you have any information on the individual(s) involved and would like to remain anonymous, call the CNMI Crime Stoppers hotline at 234-7272. (PR)
