GUAM—The United Airlines Plane Pull Event Committee, along with American Cancer Society and Guam Cancer Care, said yesterday that the 13th Annual Plane Pull Event will be rescheduled to Oct. 13, in consideration of ongoing recovery efforts in the community after Typhoon Mangkhut.

Sam Shinohara, managing director for airport operations for Asia/Pacific said, “Many of the Plane Pull event teams consist of first responders, hotels, government agencies and businesses that play important roles in our island’s recovery efforts. Out of consideration for them and our community, Plane Pull teams responded favorably to moving the event to a later date. Our mission remains: we will be out towing the line at the United hangar on Oct. 13 to raise money for the fight against cancer.”

The fundraising event equally benefits American Cancer Society and Guam Cancer Care.

Shinohara added, “We will reopen registration for teams that are interested in participating. We have a few slots available.”

Interested teams can call (671) 635-1126 or send an email to planepull@rimsguam.com to request registration packets. (PR)
