United operates extra Guam-Manila flight
United Airlines will be flying today, Wednesday, an extra flight between Guam and Manila to accommodate any remaining passengers affected by the Taal volcano eruption in the Philippines.
An email from United Corporate Communications last night said that UA flight 2800 will depart Guam today at 9:20am and arrive in Manila at 11am. UA flight 2801 will then depart Manila at 12pm and arrive in Guam at 5:35pm that same day, today.
UCC said United Airlines customers can contact united.com, United reservations at 1-800-United-1(1-800-864-8331), their travel agent, or United’s City Ticket Office in Guam for rebooking.
UCC noted that all flights are subject to change based on the unpredictable conditions surrounding the Taal Volcano’s activity and at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila.
“The safety of our customers and employees is our top priority. United continues to monitor this situation closely to ensure that conditions are safe for travel,” UCC said.
The Guam-Manila flight last Monday, UA flight 183, was canceled due to the eruption. UA flight 184 Manila-Guam was also cancelled on Monday for the same reason.
Taal Volcano spewed ash and steam last Sunday.
