GUAM—United Airlines announced Monday plans to launch daily, non-stop service between its Guam hub and Seoul, South Korea, effective Oct. 27, 2014 (northbound). The airline will use Boeing 737-800 aircraft to operate the service. Flights are now available for sale.

“We are excited to add non-stop service to Seoul to our extensive Guam hub network,” said Sam Shinohara, United’s managing director, Business Development Asia/Pacific. “As Guam’s hometown airline, we are thrilled to introduce South Korea as a new United destination for the Guam community, and at the same time we are committed to promoting Guam to the South Korean public as a perfect beach destination. We are happy to bring additional economic benefits to Guam’s tourism industry following the recently-announced twice-weekly Guam-Shanghai non-stop service, which will start Oct. 28, 2014, subject to government approval.”
