UFO league meeting today
Officials of the 2015 United Filipino Organization Basketball League will hold a technical meeting today at 6pm at Shirley’s Coffee Shop in Susupe.
Representatives of participating teams in four divisions are requested to attend the meeting as details of the opening ceremony set for March 15 will also be discussed tonight.
This year’s UFO league has lured 20 teams with seven of them playing in the Masters, six in the Open division, and four and three in the U15 and U20 age groups, respectively. Organizers will only accept a maximum of eight squads per division.
Each team is also required to submit only a 12-player roster, while registration fees are as follows: $350 in U15, $400 in U20, $600 in Open, and $550 in the Masters.
Teams participating in the U15 division will play first in the opener, while games in the Masters, U21, and Open will also take place in the kick-off date. Teams seeing action in the opener will be determined via raffle drawing.
