The United Filipino Organization will lead a voluntary monetary donation campaign to assist the families of the three Filipinos who were accidentally killed in a sewer pump lift station at Pakpak Beach, south of Saipan. The three were identified as Ricky Quijano, Amid Tapon, and Danilo Paglinawan, all Filipino citizens.

However, the initiative is on hold for the moments as the Office of the Honorary Consul to the CNMI is still trying to locate the next of kin of the three victims.

In a statement yesterday, UFO said that the relatives of the three victims “will be properly informed about the donation campaign.”

“Any and all amount raised from the donation drive will directly and equally benefit the families of the three victims,” the UFO statement added.

UFO president Marlon Regaton said that as soon as he contacts any of the immediate family members of the three victims, solicitations for voluntary monetary donations will start as soon as possible.

“We will identify places and designate person(s) in several locations as to where donors can drop their voluntary donations,” he said.
