UFO cancels ‘Super Man’; tilt is now called ‘That’s My Boy’
The United Filipino Organization is cancelling its Pinoy Super Man contest and changing it to “That’s My Boy.”
According to UFO president Annamae Adaza, they are not going to push with the Super Dad and Super Man contests anymore “because most of them are shy and we are having a hard time to fix all the schedules for the series of rehearsals due to their workloads, so we decided to change the contest itself.”
The new contest is open to all young boys ages 6 to 10 years old.
They will be competing in the following categories: production number, talent portion, formal wear, and question and answer portion.
Prizes will be $500 for first place; $400 for second place; $300 for third place; $200 for fourth place; and $100 for fifth.
Adaza said all participants will receive certificates of participation and other consolation prizes.
“We are looking for at least 16 contestants and hopefully from different schools on Saipan. We are in need of donors and sponsors who wish to help out,” Adaza said.
For more information on registering, call Adaza, at 483-5237, UFO secretary Mario Mayuga at 285-1021, event chairwoman Nel Atalig at 233-3854, or event director Ernie Molina at 789-8212.
