UFO basketball meeting tonight

Coaches or representatives of interested teams that will compete in the 2015 United Filipino Organization basketball league are requested to attend tonight’s meeting at 6pm at Jhem’s restaurant in Garapan.

Organizers of the annual basketball league said they are limiting the numbers of teams in each of the four divisions—Under-15, U20, 21-over, and 40-over—to eight.

The opening date is set on Feb. 22, Sunday, with assembly time at 7am at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium. The parade of teams will follow.

Competing squads are allowed to form a 12-player roster while registration fees are $350 in U15, $400 in U20, $600 in Over-21, and $550 in Over-40.

The opening games will be chosen by raffle with the U15 the first match and each followed by contests in the Over-40, U21, and Over-21.
