UCA to launch Project Liffang
The United Carolinians Association, in collaboration with the Carolinian Affairs Office and CNMI Women’s Association, is launching Project Liffang on Saturday, March 20, from 8am to 2pm at the Carolinian Utt in Garapan.
Liffang is a Refaluwasch term that means “give away.” In line with this philosophy, UCA is launching Project Liffang as a way of providing support to members of the community who are affected by the current COVID-19 crisis.
Project Liffang will gather interested individuals (through a signed agreement) who are willing to sell or share whatever items or goods they have at a nominal price. The benefit will be to the seller, who is hoping to make money to sustain their basic necessities, and supporting the buyer’s ability to afford items, goods, or commodities at an affordable price. The project will also help people enhance their home-gardening and farming skills while also providing them the venue to market their home products.
For more information or to register as a vendor, contact the Carolinian Affairs Office at 234-6383 or CNMI Women’s Association at 233-8978. (PR)
