ASAN, Guam—The U.S. Air Force is scheduled to conduct an exercise with airmen and aircraft operating from Guam, Tinian, Saipan, Federated States of Micronesia (Yap), and Palau from April 22 to April 26.

The exercise, called Resilient Typhoon, involves fighter and mobility aircraft gathering at and then dispersing from Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, to airfields across Micronesia.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to train here and validate Pacific Air Forces’ and our regional partners’ ability to maintain readiness in support of this vital area,” said Maj. Phil Ventura, a Pacific Air Forces spokesperson.

During the exercise, the public should expect to see and hear an increase in military aviation activities in and around the Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport in Guam; at the Tinian International Airport and Pedro P. Tenorio/Saipan International Airport in the

CNMI, at the Yap International Airport in the Federated States of Micronesia, and at the Babelthuap/Koror Airport of Palau.

“Our airmen are committed to operating in a safe and environmentally-conscious manner,” Ventura said. “We look forward to working with our local partners and enjoying the world-renowned hospitality in Guam, the CNMI, FSM and Palau.” (PR)
